Headache's Common Causes
There are a lot of people suffer from headache that started from out of nowhere and most of us don’t mind taking a pill to get rid of it quickly. Most people don’t need to see a doctor because for them, it is just a common illness. The pain we feel when headache strikes comes from a mix of signals between our brain, blood vessels, and nearby nerves. Specific nerves of the blood vessels and head muscles switch on and send pain signals to our brain. But we don’t know when these signals turn on in the first place.
We often get headaches because of the following:
Stress
is the common causes of tension headaches, it includes emotional stress and depression as well as alcohol use, skipping meals, change in sleeping patterns, and taking too much medication. Some causes are eyestrain and neck or back strain due to poor posture.
Environment
pollution is on the top of the list followed by stuck in traffic, including secondhand cigarette smoke, strong smells from household chemicals or perfumes, allergens, and certain foods. Noise, lighting, and weather changes are other possible triggers.
Illness
such as an infection, cold, or fever. They’re also common with conditions like sinusitis (inflammation of the sinuses), a throat infection, or an ear infection. In some cases, headaches occur because of too much sneezing, it’s also a sign of a more serious medical problem.
If your headache symptoms get worse or happen more often despite treatment, please see a doctor for proper medication and they will look for problems inside your brain that might cause your headaches.
